Sound Level test.
| This graph is a measurement of the noise value. Test is usually recorded from a position left from the front side part of the drive bezel by about 13cm(width in one with a short jewel case). Tested with IEC651 TYPE2 standard sound level meter. A characteristic(blue line) is high frequency noise. C characteristic(red line) is low frequency noise. If C and A are almost the same values, the drive is howling that sounds high. If C(red line) is much higher than A(blue line), the drive emits a jarring sound that sounds low. | result | DH-20A3P is more quiet than LH-20A1S @ under 16x speed. However, this drive suddenly become noisy @ over 18X speed. I have not seen such a noisy drive still before...... C freq 61.9dB ...... this is as noisy as large helicopter of the Self Defense Force flying over the sky |
*Drive manufacturer name is "ATAPI DVD A". not "LITEON".
*I tried 5 other disks, two of these were 8x speed, other two reached 16x speed, and last 1 was 12x speed......
Maybe, my DH-20A3P has initial malfunction.
